
What do we search? What do we consider normal and out of normal? Under the influence of the movie "The Island" by Pavel Lungin (Pavel Lounguine) I started again thinking about our society "standards".
We expect certain type of behaviour to be "normal", certain type of thoughts - adequate, certain challenges as up-to date. And will that all bring us to what we are searching for? You may ask me what, if anything, someone is searching. I guess, it is peace with yourself, accomplishments that make you feel proud of yourself, self-realisation to the way that person has a need for it.
So who is that man? Crazy hero? Limited with useless barriers that he created by himself? Lost in the dogmas that may never be true? Or helpful person? Someone who has a gift of putting people back to...
I have just watched a movie "Devil wears Prada". I wonder, what the majority think of the main idea of this movie...I guess the most obvious, that one should follow what makes it right for the person, whatever and wherever that be...But to me it is more of what we are chosen to do and what we get at the end. Do we choose our luck or misfortune, as it may turn out? Isn't it more like we do well what we are asked to do, and then, whatever happens, we get, what we want? The main actress could have thought of being wrong a long time before she did at the end, and get "back" to what was precious to her conscience, but she would have not got, what she wanted... Is this fatality? Or hard work in no matter what sphere? Or are we doing what is "meant" to happen? I remember now Pamuk's "Snow",...
